How to make coffee the old fashioned way? [MUST READ]

Making coffee used to be a simple process. You would take some coffee beans, roast them, grind them, and then brew them.

But with the advent of modern coffee makers, many people have forgotten how to make coffee the old fashioned way.

If you want to make coffee the old fashioned way, you first need to roast the beans. Place them in a pan on medium heat and stir frequently until they are evenly roasted. Be careful not to burn them! Once they are roasted, let them cool for a few minutes before grinding them.

To grind the beans, use a mortar and pestle or a burr grinder. If you are using a mortar and pestle, grind the beans until they are a fine powder. If you are using a burr grinder, adjust the settings so that the grounds are about as fine as table salt.

Now it’s time to brew the coffee! Place one tablespoon of ground coffee per cup into an appropriate pot or French press. Bring water to a boil and then pour it over the grounds. Allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes before stirring gently and pressing down on the plunger if using a French press. Serve hot with milk or cream if desired.

  1. Start with fresh, cold water
  2. Add coffee grounds to the pot – use 2 tablespoons for every 6 ounces of water
  3. Bring the water to a boil
  4. Reduce heat and let the coffee simmer for 3 minutes
  5. Remove from heat and let it sit for another minute
  6. Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy!

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world, and there are many different ways to make it. The French press is a popular method for making coffee, and it’s also one of the easiest ways to make a great cup of coffee at home.

Simple Instructions For Making a Perfect Cup of French Press coffee:

  • 1. Start with fresh, cold water. Fill your French press pot with cold water and empty it out again before adding your coffee grounds. This will help ensure that your coffee is brewing at the correct temperature.
  • 2. Add coffee grounds to the pot – use 2 tablespoons for every 6 ounces of water.
  • 3. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat and let the coffee simmer for 3 minutes.
  • 4. Remove from heat and let it sit for another minute. This will help the grounds settle to the bottom of the pot.
  • 5. Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy!

Conclusion

If you want to make coffee the old fashioned way, there are a few things you need to do. First, you’ll need to roast your own beans. You can do this by putting them in a hot pan on the stovetop and stirring until they’re roasted to your liking. Next, grind the beans using a mortar and pestle or a coffee grinder. Finally, brew the coffee in boiling water and enjoy! Making coffee this way takes a little more time and effort than just hitting the button on an automatic machine, but it’s worth it for the rich flavor that freshly roasted beans provide. Plus, you’ll get to impress your friends with your mad traditionalist skills!
